Work In Progress...

Thursday, August 02, 2007

Here it is the middle-end of the summer, and I've been a bad blogger. The days are just too nice and there is too much to do, and I can't sit at the computer without my little helper pressing Esc. and undoing anything I might have done. Plus, Jaden is down to one nap a day and I don't seem to have as much free time as I did before...

So I've created a little Summer '07 montage, some of the highlights of what we've been up to. 99.9% are pictures of Jaden, but he's just so cute, I can't resist!

Happy Birthday J-Man

Multi-tasking. Even babies these days are expected to manage "it all."

Weeeeee

Feeling groovy with Uncle G

Peek-a-boo is an all-time favorite activity.

Chillin' with Dada & helping work on the deck

Now that he's walking, he has responsibilities. I mean, you can't be a baby forever. Here we play a fun game called "sweep the kitchen."

The little hippies.

The first haircut. A bit traumatic, but necessary.

Travelling is tough work. Everyone on the airplane used to compliment us on our "perfect baby," now we don't even make eye contact. We are those people. But a few hours of hell is worth it. We had a great trip to Maine.

Henry thought Jaden was too germy, so we hooked him up with Felix the Christmas bear.

First lobster. He'll try anything once.

Cooling off at Deering Oaks. It's kind of fun to rediscover all the kiddie hang-out spots.

Which is the fish and which is the lure? This poor little guy was caught multiple times over the course of the week.

Hammock time with Granny.

My truck.

We hit a local beach at least once a week. A morning spent playing in the lake and sand guarantees a three hour nap in the afternoon.

Why do they make us wear these ridiculous hats???

Well, this concludes the mother of all blog postings. Thanks for visiting Sojaland.
